Project Summary

The Project

Our goal was to improve the user interface of the Partner Portal and rebrand it using GoCardless’ Flux component libray.

My Role

With a designer, a Solutions Engineer, and a third-party development team, I:

  • Created a product survey that outlined the information architecture of the page.

  • Designed a prototype that displayed the use of the website.

  • Maintained brand consistency by using our Flux component library.

  • Collaborated with designers on copy and illustrations.

The User: GoCardless Self-Serve Partners

Wants to:

  • Build GoCardless integrations into their products.

  • Market their GoCardless integrations in their products and on their websites.

  • Certify their GoCardless integrations.

Information Architecture

Collaborating with the lead designer, I surveyed the site by creating an information architecture diagram. This gave us an idea of all of the webpages that needed to be updated and how they all connected.

Design Refresh

I took each page and updated it to match the style of the GoCardless’ Customer Hub. A copywriter and a brand designer contributed to the images and copy content.

Rebrand

GoCardless launched a rebrand in 2022, so using the Flux component library I redesigned the pages by replacing each component and style.

Quality Assessment & Analytics

For each iteration, I collaborated with our third-party development team, CloudShift, to ensure that the interfaces would meet our specs. At the end of building the application, I set up a QA process that helped the development team understand what changes they needed to make.

I worked with our Business Intelligence team to embed Google Analytics into the product so that we can track our users. These analytics would be used to monitor the health of the website, paying attention to what pages our users landed on. We then began planning on how to make improvements to the website’s content.

We began to collect feedback from Partners by speaking with them directly as they were in the process of building their integration.

Thank you!

We launched the Partner Portal globally in Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia.
